PENNDEL SWIM LEAGUE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES
January 11, 2021

Attendance:  Kelly Burk, Ken Burk, Elliot Berton, Bruce Cooper, Mark Fisher, Howard Halpern, Bert Hewitt, Erik Nelson, Fred Polaski, Pat Ryan, Tom Warrick and Jenn Woods. (All participation By Zoom conference)

The meeting was called to order at 6:33 pm.

Minutes:  The December 14, 2020 Board of Directors Meeting Minutes were approved as amended.

Board Organization: On motion, the unanimously elected Rick Carson to fill the remaining term of an open position on the Board. The Board also discussed and agreed that Howard Halpern would serve as the Assistant Treasurer, and Bruce Cooper as Assistant Web Master. Howard and Bruce will also continue in their current roles.

Finance:  There were no expenses from the previous financial report.  The expenses and adjustments to the number of Zoom licenses for the League Clinic Trainers should show on the next financial report.  The Financial report was accepted as presented.

Virtual Invitationals: With additional restrictions placed on clubs, there was no League organized Virtual meet for December. The Meet file for the January is the same as the one previously used for December.  The Virtual meets are being sponsored for January and February, with the timeline being extended to the end of each month for results to be submitted.  The files have all the events listed, allowing teams to decide on which events they want to swim.

Official's Training:  The scheduled League Clinics are completed for this year.  There were two classes delivered in the previous month, a Level 1 Recertification class as well as an AO Recertification class that were both delivered by Fred Polaski.  If there is a need to deliver additional training, the Zoom Licenses and trainers are available to do so.

State and National Championship Update:  The information was that Short Course and Long Course  Nationals were canceled.  The State committee was working on a series of regional championship meets, targeted in February and March to allow swimmers with qualifying times to compete in appropriate level end of season Championship meets.  More details from that committee should be coming shortly.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:36 pm.
